After some speculation last week that the Quad Core slate I posted about from TechEd NZ Microsoft has now posted a blog about the Samsung slate with a photos that exactly matches the one I snapped.
The image below is the one I took at TechEd NZ which does not have a SIM card slot and the vent placement is more on the side than below.
And the image below shows the device in the Microsoft blog post that has the same vent slots and missing the SIM card slot.

This photos as far as I can tell looks to be exactly the same device as the one I saw TechEd NZ.
As you can see the image from the This is my Next that shows the device that has a SIM card slot and slightly different vents. I can only speculate that the device comes with and without a 3G option.

I have just had my first Windows Phone application published to the Marketplace. The app is called “TechEd Australia” and is a social viewer application that lets you keep up to date with what is going to happen at TechEd Australia this year. Its a fairly simple app based on the Social Viewer template at http://socialviewer.codeplex.com however I hope to make some more updates to it really soon…
You can download the app right now for free from zune://navigate/?phoneappid=649bb454-9e7e-e011-986b-78e7d1fa76f8
Update: I will be publishing a new version of this application that has fixed the twitter Oauth issue and added facebook support.
