Just yesterday Microsoft announced that the Bing search engine for Australia will lose its “beta” tag. Even though that the search engine is still crippled today they added the video background feature. You will need to be using a HTML5 browser to see the video as this feature uses the “Video” tag.

I just noticed that Bing.com search has a feature that lets you perform a search’s of the Skype.com web page from within Bing. Just type the keyword “skype” in the search field and you will see a Skype search field within the results pane. From the “Search within skype.com” search field you can type a keyword and then click search to directly search the Skype web site.

Microsoft Bing Maps have just demoed the new mapping feature at TED. This is really cutting edge mapping technology that is shown off some awesome 3D views integrated with street side view and it shows the integration of Flickr photos and real time live video.
Now if we could just get this sort of map integration with Windows Phone 7….
A few months ago Microsoft launched street side view (similar to Google street view). Now Bing maps have just recently released an update that integrates Flickr photos into the street side view. This uses the photo matching software of Photosynth to match any creative common geo-tagged photo on Flickr. This is truly an amazing feature and i just cant wait for this to go live in Australia.
