In what is one of the most stunning photos of the International Space station i have ever seen Thierry Legault @ Look at Sciences has taken a photo of Endeavour parked at the space station while in front of the sun. Needless to say don’t try this at home with your own telescope.

Tron Legacy (2010) Trailer

I remember when i first watched Tron on VHS I thought that it was a great movie but all the computer were interconnected and i could not see how software could travel between computers… Fast Forward to now and the first Tron movie is now more relevant with the advent of the Internet.

Well trailer of the sequel out now and it looks really nice. Not much in the way of a plot yet but it still at least 6 months before release so we will probably seem more info about it soon… In the mean time just enjoy the trailer below.

Microsoft has got is MOJO back…. YEAH BABY!!!

image  And here is why i think it has…

  • Windows 7 – It just rocks
  • Hyper-V R2 – VMWare Killer
  • Windows Server 2008 R2 – Just like Windows Server 2008 but even better
  • Xbox 360 – Clearly it is the best high powered gaming console on the market
  • Bing – Cam out with a bang and people are still talking about it over a month after its launch
  • ZuneHD – Will simply be the best portable media device on the market
  • Exchange 2010 – Will make corporate emails systems much faster and more reliable
  • Office 2010 – Like Windows 7 it is a highly pimped version of its predecessor
  • Project Natal – Is going to be the must have device of 2010
  • Microsoft Security Essentials – Finally Microsoft will have a free anti-virus system (not including Dos 6.20 )

All these products are now either out or going to come out in the next 12 months and all are going to be huge successes.

Hyper-V to get more Linux Support

Looks like Hyper-V will soon get better support for Hyper-V with the release candidate 2 bit for the Linux Integration Components now available from Microsoft.

The supported OS are:

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.2 (x86/x64)
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.3 (x86/x64)
  • SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 SP2 (x86/x64)

But this combined with the release for the Linux components under the GPL licence it should open up a whole lot of other Linux distributions to support running on Hyper-V eliminating what could arguable be the last remaining obstacle in Hyper-V adoption as opposed to VMWare.
